It saddens us to inform you that Grambling Legends Sports Hall of Famer Howard "Jim Dandy" Willis passed away on Tuesday. Another link in the Legends' chain has been removed. As you all know, Howard was not only a star student-athlete, but also a coach and university administrator.
We join his family and people across the country in remembering the meaningful life of our brother. A light has gone out, but the example he gave us will be a torch forever. We must believe that we can be true to our best selves, and in the legacy we leave to the young people we serve. For the gift of his stewardship, and the example of his leadership we say "Thank you.".
The Funeral will be held at Kings' Funeral Home in Ruston, Louisiana on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at 1:00 PM. The contact number for the family is 318-247-6708.
