We are sad to learn of the passing of Grambling State University family member Robert M. "Bob" Hopkins. Mr Hopkins was a basketball standout at Grambling scoring 3,759 points and averaging 29.8 points per game. He play professionally for the Syracuse Nationals for four seasons. He went on to be the head basketball coach at five different universities including Grambling. He later coached the Seattle Super Sonics. He was born on November 3, 1934 and attended high school in Jonesboro, Louisiana. He is a member of the College and Grambling Legends Sports Halls of Fame.
