They are lower than last year, but not by much.......Only if our administration had enough sense to retain Ms Moss through registration, we could have seen an increase.

Freshman enrollment is down mainly due to the higher admission standards. As everyone knows Freshman enrollment is a major factor in keeping enrollment numbers up. Freshman enrollment will take another hit beginning with fall 2014, when no student (first-time freshman) requiring even a single developmental course will be allowed to enroll in any 4-year institution in the state. Perspective students must have a minimum ACT composite score of 20 and a minimum score of 19 in math and 18 in English in addition to other requirements. First-time Students who have a GED are not eligible for admission to GSU - until after they have completed a prescribed course of study at a community college.

A lot of things at Grambling are going down under Dr. Pogue.....Haven't you noticed that?.....The firing of Ms. Moss in the middle of registration probably played a roll in our freshman enrollment being down.....Dr. Pogue is delivering our head on a silver platter to the state of Louisiana.....SMH
I think Dr. Pogue can serve us better if he join Dr. Judson at Knoxville College before he makes us the next Knoxville College.

Just curious, how did new freshman enrollment this fall compare to new freshman enrollment last fall? I'm not sure of the final number but in August it was more than 100 less freshmen than last fall. The fact of the matter is, neither Ms. Moss nor Dr. Pogue can take the ACT for these students. No president or admissions director can do that. These issues MUST BE addressed in HIGH SCHOOL. However, because of the administration's arrticulation agreements with BPCC and La Delta, Grambling will be able to recapture some of those students once they've completed the required coursework. Whomever the new admissions director is, they MUST do a better job of following up with high students early- LONG BEFORE registration begins.

We when I say we us Black Men got to get involved with these kids at a early age. It's sad To say I visit one high school here with mostly black students and I saw not a one black teacher. I hope it's a difference in other areas.
