GRAMBLING, LA (KSLA) - A Grambling State University student is in stable condition Monday night after being shot in the leg during a fight on campus, a school spokesman says. The student was rushed by ambulance to Ruston General Hospital. His name was not revealed but he is from New Orleans, Grambling spokesman Will Sutton says. Grambling's Campus Police is the only agency investigating. No one is in custody, Sutton says, adding that he is not sure just yet if police have a suspect or are even looking for a suspect. The fight occurred Monday evening near a dormitory formerly called Building 800. The number of people involved remains unclear, Sutton says. www.ksla.com/story/21985836/grambling-student-shot-on-campus

Bystander Tracy Lamar Greene Jr., 19, of Marrero, La., was rushed to Ruston General Hospital with a gunshot to his lower leg, said a news release from campus spokesman Will Sutton. Brandon Cooper, 21, showed up at the hospital with shots in his right forearm and his left thigh. A third student, Jarion Walker, 20, of Westwego, La., also was shot in the leg, Sutton said. All three are from the New Orleans area, he said. A resident assistant noticed a crowd growing outside of Douglass Hall at about 7:15 p.m. and immediately contacted campus police, reporting a shooting. Campus police are investigating and said the situation is under control and that the community at large should not be concerned. "We're investigating additional injuries, talking with witnesses and others who might be able to help us," Sgt. Ruby Jones said late Monday night. Police released no information on arrests. Grambling State is located in northeastern Louisiana. Its website says it has an enrollment of about 5,300 students and is a member of the University of Louisiana System.

Apparently, it was someone that doesn't attend Grambling that did the shooting. Sad.

The way of the world today, thugs don't care about security cameras, they just care about causing problems.

The way of the world today, thugs don't care about security cameras, they just care about causing problems. Security cameras are not installed because of how thugs feel about them, but instead they are installed to help law enforcement identify the thugs. Do anyone know whether our security cameras captured a picture of the thug or thugs?

If we had security cameras installed, perpetrators of this crime would have had their faces posted all over the local news and probably apprehended by now. Once it was wildly known Grambling had this capability, future thugs would stay away.
