Harper wears Tiger stripes with pride GRAMBLING — Eric Harper appears to have finally found his football home. The New Orleans native has changed coaches and positions each twice in his college career and now prepares for his first and final football season with his second area university. Playing defensive end at Grambling State for coach Doug Williams seems as good a spot as any other along the way for the former Louisiana Tech tight end. "The biggest change (this year), I would say? I mean, totally it's no difference to me," Harper said. "It's two great programs about the same amount as far as coaching. They do some of the same things as far as strength and conditioning and everything. It's a small difference, but it's so much of a small difference you wouldn't even notice." Harper began his college career in 2008 as a backup defensive end and special teams player under then-Bulldogs coach Derek Dooley before moving to tight end for 2009 and 2010 and then back to defensive end under coach Sonny Dykes in 2011. www.thenewsstar.com/article/20120823/SPORTS/208230314/Harper-wears-Tiger-stripes-pride
