I was really hoping the Grambling City Council would have persuade Buc-ee's out on the I20 Interchange. Ruston City Council is going to decide on them coming to the new interchange on Tarbutton Rd. Watch how fast other businesses build out there once Buc-ee's is approved. City of Grambling!

Definitely would have produced tax revenues for the city of Grambling; now Gramling students, staff and GramFam will be contributing to Ruston tax revenues - what's new? Town of Grambling lack vision / leadership.

I stated this years ago when they rebuilt the Tarbutton Rd bridge. Don't understand why the City of Grambling hasn't got any grants to help with infrastructure with a new wider bridge and reconfigure the ramps and move Exit 81 ramp back a half mile with a service road. The land across from the Exxon and up to Clarks can be cleared back for a mile or two for retail development. Thats where I was envisioning Buc-ee's for the City of Grambling. www.thenewsstar.com/story/news/2023/01/09/here-are-the-details-of-buc-ees-first-planned-store-in-louisiana/69789027007/"It's this magnitude of project we had in mind when we built Tarbutton," Walker said. "A Buc-ee's is an economic development district within itself. Look at the Terrell (Texas) store. There's been hotel and retail development surrounding that store. The company is securing 84 acres, but its store will only occupy 30 acres, leaving more than 50 acres for more development. Walker estimated the project will be a $50 million to $60 million development. "We've been talking about the need to develop (tax) revenue streams within the parish that come from people who don't live here," Walker said. "We know 80% of the spending at Buc-ee's will be from people who live more than 100 miles away. This will bring in new revenue rather than just recirculate what's already here." He estimates Buc-ee's will create 200 new jobs. Buc-ee's, with its toothy Beaver mascot, has developed a cult following among travelers who consider the stores tourism destinations rather than just a giant convenience store.
